The Bundesbrief Society takes its name from the founding 1291 AD Swiss Charter or Bundesbrief which serves as a beacon of hope worldwide for those who strive for the democratic stronghold of liberty and freedom and can help provide reassurance, security, and guidance.
Our greatest challenge today is to extend the promise of political freedom and economic opportunity to those who are still actively denied it, or through lack of constitutional protections cannot achieve it, both in our home country and around the world. We seek to collaborate with other voices in democracy to push forward our robust agenda of providing “we the people” with access to democracy and constitutional freedoms worldwide.
The International Bundesbrief Society is incorporated exclusively for charitable, scientific, literary and educational purposes, including, without limitation, to sponsor publications, conferences, a digital library, symposia and speeches pertaining to the Bundesbrief, its heritage and influence, and the wider realm of constitution-writing and democracy as follows:
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
– Edmund Burke
