Bundesbrief Society awards coveted Bundesbrief Memento to US Embassy, Deputy Chief of Mission, Bern Switzerland; Eva Weigold Schultz.

Eva Weigold-Schultz, US Embassy's former Chargé d'Affaires in Switzerland, was gifted by Susanna Auf der Maur - Quinn (VP International Bundesbrief Society) with a copy of the Bundesbrief for her dedication to democracy at Swiss Biotech Day during an international reception.
Eva Weigold Schultz began her assignment in Bern as Deputy Chief of Mission in August 2019 and led the mission as Chargé d’Affaires from January 2021-January 2022. Previously, she served in the Office of the Secretary of State as Deputy Executive Secretary where she managed the flow of information to the Secretary for policy decisions and led planning for the Secretary’s international travel. Ms. Weigold Schultz is a career member of the Senior Foreign Service with the rank of Minister Counselor. Prior assignments in Washington include Executive Assistant to the Under Secretary for Democracy and Global Affairs, Deputy Director for the Office of the Arabian Peninsula in the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, Executive Director of the U.S.-Afghan Women’s Council (while on detail to Georgetown University), and Director for Andean Affairs at the National Security Council. Overseas assignments include Tel Aviv, Dublin, Frankfurt, and Kingston.

Bundesbrief Society President, Jim Scherrer, recently presented USA Ambassador to Switzerland, Susan LeVine, the famous Bundesbrief Poster at their recent meeting at Domaine de Penthes, Museum of the Swiss Abroad, Geneva.

In October 2015 three members of the Society attended the installation of the new Honorary Consul of Delaware, Mario Brossi, by the Swiss Ambassador to the United States, Ambassador Martin Dahinden.
The Bundesbrief Society participated in the formal part of the otherwise informal gathering as the presenter of an award to Amb. Dahinden. The three Society attendees were Vice President Franz Portmann, Ron Duquette (aka Albert Gallatin) and President Jim Scherrer.
